Hong Kong, China – October 06, 2026 – meed, whose app-free digital loyalty program is built for independent and small-to-medium businesses, today launched Seasons, a customer-facing feature that lets U.S. shops and other small businesses update their digital stamp cards without forcing existing customers to lose progress or restart their card collection. meed serves independent businesses across the United States and internationally, from cafes and barbershops to caterers, salons, gyms and retailers, and counts Google, AWS and the Nvidia Inception Program among its ecosystem partners. Its loyalty cards run natively in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, requiring no app download from the customer.
Seasons addresses a specific problem in stamp-based loyalty: businesses that want to change their program, whether that means adding a reward, adjusting the stamp count, or running a seasonal promotion, have historically had to choose between freezing the offer indefinitely or resetting every customer’s progress to make a change. With Seasons, a business can publish a new version of its stamp card while customers who are mid-card stay exactly where they are. Their stamps remain intact, their earned rewards stay connected to their existing card, and they only move onto the new version once they finish the one they are already collecting. New customers, and any existing customer starting from zero stamps, begin on the latest Season immediately. Older Seasons are not deleted; they remain part of the customer’s history.
“Stamp cards have always forced a bad trade: freeze the program or punish the customers already using it,” said Phil Ingram, Founder of meed. “Seasons gets rid of that trade-off completely, so a business can keep improving its loyalty program the same way it improves everything else, without anyone already collecting stamps feeling like the rug got pulled out from under them.”
Stamp-based loyalty has a design flaw most platforms have not addressed: the program is expected to stay static for as long as it runs, because any structural change risks alienating the customers already enrolled. Business owners avoid testing new offers, retiring underperforming rewards, or reacting to a slow season, even when the existing program clearly needs a refresh. meed’s positioning has centered on removing friction for small businesses that cannot afford a full POS integration or a dedicated loyalty team, enrolling customers through QR codes, NFC taps or links, with AI-powered receipt scanning used after purchase to award stamps and spend-based rewards, all without new hardware. Seasons extends that same logic to program management, treating a loyalty card as something that should evolve alongside the business rather than stay fixed in place.
Seasons is currently in QA and will launch as a Pro-tier feature of the platform, not as part of its core stamp card functionality. Businesses can create a new Season from the meed Business Portal, meed’s web-based dashboard for managing loyalty programs, without needing to rebuild their card from scratch.
